During the recent FEMA symposium, we had a well attended vanilla meeting. During this session, many of the issues currently impacting the vanilla market were discussed at length.

It is our opinion that we should defer our vanilla conference to next year. At this juncture, the meeting will be significantly more meaningful and productive as a lot of pertinent information will surface in the interim.

Most importantly, we will have more concrete information
on long term crop volumes, the Madagascar elections & their overall strategy on vanilla and equally important, production volumes from the other growing regions.
  As most of us are aware, the price of vanilla beans are continuing to go down significantly, which will change the landscape for the next few years.
